Beyond Certification

This is the private domain of the Master Instructors where we share ideas and learn from each other.

Certification is just the beginning. This is where we can help each other continue the journey to excellence.

Major Policy Changes For Our Web Site

Our web site has already undergone some major policy changes in response to comments from Master Instructors. We will remain flexible and do whatever we need to ensure the success of the web site.

Membership is Free

Membership is free. If you are certified, access to the Instructor's area is free. If you want a profile on the public part of the site, there is a $10 fee that needs to be renewed each year.

Your Profile

If you want a profile on the public site, please complete the profile form and we will create a profile page for you in the directory. Your profile provides you with a web presence and it can contain anything that you want. Whether you're available for teaching or not, you belong to an accomplished group. Having a web page on the MOS Master Instructor web site will let others know about your accomplishments. Check out some examples on the directory page. For those of us who are available for training, profiles can also help visitors find an instructor. We charge a yearly fee of $10 for those who want a profile.

Contributing Articles and Tutorials

Many of you have indicated that you want to contribute articles and tutorials. Send them to me and I will post them on the web site. No one is obligated to contribute any articles or tutorials; many instructors are just too busy or it may not be your thing. Those that actually go through with writing an articles or creating a tutorial will learn first-hand how time-consuming these tasks are and might better understand why I originally charged a higher fee.

If you are planning to create a tutorial, you might want to check out Guidelines for Writing a Tutorial.

The Founding Members

I want to thank those instructors that have been supportive from the beginning.

Email Forms

We are now using PHP for our email forms instead of Perl. PHP is more reliable and no one can hijack your email address and use it for nefarious purposes because it does not show up on the web page OR the HTML code. With Perl, a spammer could still find your email address in the HTML code.

Email Accounts

If you have a profile on the public site, we can set up an email account for you. Please assign yourself a username (for example: jacob@mosmasterinstructor.com). To view the web-based email application, go to mail.mosmasterinstructor.com, type in jacob@mosmasterinstructor.com and the password: master749. Read the email message that is in the inbox.

If you have a business email account, then your set. But if you are available for training and you email a potential client with a hotmail or yahoo email account, what is your prospect going to think? Not very professional! However, if your client receives an email from your mosmasterinstructor.com account, he or she is going to take you more seriously.
