Beyond Certification

This is the private domain of the Master Instructors where we share ideas and learn from each other.

Certification is just the beginning. This is where we can help each other continue the journey to excellence.

Web Site Design Examples
beyondcertification
Our web sites can be used for professional or personal purposes. The John Adams and Abigail Adams web site examples have content for a Microsoft Office Training web site. If you are interested in promoting yourself as a Master Instructor or promoting your training company, the examples contain content that might help you create the content for your web site.

If you are not an active instructor, professional web sites can also contain information about your professional skills, philosophy, and qualifications. A lot of professionals want the web exposure. It's also a good thing to have if you are in the market for a new job or promotion, or if you offer any services on the side.

John Adams Design

The John Adams Designs have the following features:

  • CSS layouts. All web sites are css validated by the W3C.
  • Animated submenus. Place your cursor over the Training button on the main navigation bar and an animated message appears: "All classes taught by a certified Microsoft Master Instructor." You can add submenus and the same animated effect will occur.
  • Email form. Instead of displaying your email address, we use email forms. Spammers troll web sites for email addresses, and email forms reduce spam considerably. The email form uses drop down menus so the sender does not have to bother with typing out some of the information you want. Also, there is a pop-up window helping the potential student to find out the version of their software.
  • Redirect page. When a visitor completes your email form and clicks on the Submit button, how will he or she know that the email was sent? They will be redirected to a page that confirms their email submission. To see the redirect page, click here.
  • Evaluation form. After you teach a class, you can have students complete an evaluation form that will be emailed to you. This not only allows you to get valuable feedback, but also to use that feedback for marketing purposes.

Color Schemes
Click on one of the following links to see different color schemes. The web site design example with the Blues Skies Ahead color scheme is the only fully developed web site; all the links and buttons work, and all the pages have sample content that you can use, modify, or replace with your own content. The class outlines are based on ElementK courseware and the pricing scheme is just an example of what you might charge for classes.

Additional Features

As I mentioned, we can add special features to web sites.

An accordian panel is $10, added to the set up fee. If you want more than one, additional panels are only $5 each (once we create one, it is easier to create additional panels). Your monthly hosting fee will not change. Here's an example.

If you are interested in a photo gallery or a slide show, let me know and I will get you samples and prices.
